DIVING & SNORKELING

Discover marine wildlife

There is a reason why Vaavu atoll is also known as WOW atoll. Take a deep breath and submerge into the waters surrounding Thinadhoo to fully appreciate it’s wonders. The wild and rich waters of the Indian ocean are the pumping heart that gives life to the whole archipelago.

Whether by snorkeling or scuba diving you can witness the rich biodversity for which the Maldives are famous. Put on your mask, snorkel, fins and explore the surroundings of the sunken shipwreck or play a game of finding nemo.

Divers all around the world visit these coral islands to drift in the currents of the atoll channels looking for rays, sharks and other magical encounters.

YOGA & MEDITATION

Nourish your body and mind

Allow yourself to slow down, use your neyvaa to breath in and reconnect body and mind. Step into our yoga hut, a peaceful sanctuary on the edge between the jungle and the beach. Follow your breath and be guided by our certified yoga teacher.

For those who want to deep down their mind into a state of full awareness, we offer sunset or sunrise meditation session on secluded sandbank. Here the only sound surrounding you is the wisper of the ocean waves.

Neyvaa venue is also available for hire with the purpose of organizing customized yoga retreats, yoga teacher trainings and similar events.

EXCURSIONS & TRIPS

Explore the ocean and islands

Start your day with the view of the sun rising from beyond the ocean while enjoying an early morning fishing. Enjoy slow and nourishing Maldivian breakfast while sailing on a typical dhoni boat. Discover the remote sandbanks, uninhabited islands and dive in to crystal clear water surrounding them.

Visit the neighboring local islands to get a taste of traditional street food and islanders‘ life style. Sport enthusiast can challange the locals in volleyball match or soccer game. During rainy days creative mind can join a DIY workshop to create an original souvenir for loved ones and at the same time support local talents.

Peaceful nurse sharks glide in the evening’s shallow waters as you walk along the beach, enjoying the seasonal bioluminescent plankton.

Excursions and trips are organized in Neyvaa daily with a limited number of spots in order to guarantee an authentic experience. Itineraries and details are arranged in advance according to the guest preferences.

LOCAL CULTURE & TRADITIONS

Experience the real local life

When you are in Maldives do as the islanders do… It all begins with slowing down the pace. Local people are never in a hurry, following the rule – rather go slowly but further, they don’t complicate their lives with anything – because there is beauty in simplicity and they don’t need much – remember, less is more…

Once you embrace this approach let’s try to learn some local techniques and tricks used in daily life through our creative workshops. Learn how to open a coconut in the traditional way and understand how to use all its parts without wasting any of it.

Discover the most used ingredients in Dhivehi cuisine, the secrets of which you can learn by taking a cooking class with local women. Send home an original greeting via hand-made postcard with the mysterious Maldivian script, in which we learn to write as part of an entertaining workshop.

Neyvaa involves the local community by sharing their folklore, history and customs. Not only to provide an authentic experience for the travelers, but also for giving back and support a sustainable tourism on the island.
